Policy & Compliance

EEOC, DEI & Affirmative Action

This page is maintained by Fellowship Theological Seminary to describe our commitments to equal opportunity, diversity, equity, inclusion, and affirmative action. The statements below reflect current Seminary policy and practice; they are not a legal certification or guarantee of outcome.

Equal Employment Opportunity

Fellowship Theological Seminary is committed to providing equal opportunity in employment, admissions, and all educational programs. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, genetic information, or veteran status in any aspect of seminary life. Employment decisions, admissions decisions, and access to programs are based on individual qualifications, merit, and institutional need.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

We believe that the theological enterprise is strengthened by diverse perspectives, experiences, and voices. Our DEI commitment is expressed through inclusive classroom dialogue, culturally informed curricula, support for students from underrepresented backgrounds, and ongoing faculty and staff development. We seek to cultivate a learning community where every member is treated with dignity and respect.

Affirmative Action

As part of our commitment to equal opportunity, the Seminary takes affirmative steps to recruit, retain, and support qualified individuals from groups that have been historically underrepresented in theological education and ministry leadership. These efforts include outreach in admissions, equitable hiring practices, and reasonable accommodations for applicants, students, and employees with disabilities.

Reporting Concerns

Members of the Seminary community who believe they have experienced or witnessed discrimination, harassment, or retaliation are encouraged to report the matter promptly. Reports may be submitted to the Seminary administration or designated compliance contact. The Seminary reviews reports in good faith and takes appropriate steps consistent with applicable law and institutional policy.
